SkinJourney — Practitioner & Clinic Agreement
Version: practitioner-terms-v1 Effective: 22 August 2026 Applies to: dermatologists, physicians, estheticians, nurses and clinics using the SkinJourney practitioner dashboard during Early Access.
1. What you are getting, and what it costs
Access to the SkinJourney practitioner dashboard during a limited Early Access pilot. There is no charge, and there is no payment path in this version.
Registration is open, but access is not automatic: every new account starts as pending and a person reviews it before it can accept patients.
The service is experimental, may change or break, may be unavailable, and is provided as is. Do not make it the only record of anything clinically important.
2. What SkinJourney is, in your hands
SkinJourney gives you a photographic record of a patient over time, plus tools to organise it — routines, appointments, notes, and automated text descriptions of photographs.
It is documentation infrastructure. It makes no clinical determination.
- It does not diagnose, screen, triage, grade, monitor or prioritise patients.
- The automated descriptions describe images. They are machine-generated, can be wrong, and are not a clinical assessment or a second opinion.
- It does not tell you which patient needs attention first, and you must not use it as if it did.
Every clinical judgement is yours. So is the professional and regulatory responsibility for it.
3. The care relationship must already exist
SkinJourney is for patients you already treat — people you have met in person and are treating or following up.
You may not use it to establish a treatment relationship with someone you have not seen, or to provide remote diagnosis or treatment to a patient you have never examined. The product is not built for telemedicine, is not regulated as a medical device, and connecting a patient you have not met puts your professional standing at risk, not ours.
4. Patient consent is your obligation
Before you connect a patient, you must obtain their informed consent — to being connected, and to you seeing their photographs and history.
When a patient connects to you, you can see: their photographs and capture history, profile, routines and routine logs, appointments, and the automated descriptions generated for them. You can write clinical notes about them.
The patient can disconnect at any time, which ends your access from that point.
5. What you tell us about yourself must be true
At registration you declare your profession, a credential reference, and a business number. These declarations must be accurate.
Be clear about what our approval means: when we approve your account, we have carried out an *administrative check of the details you supplied*. We have not verified your professional competence, and for some professions we cannot. Cosmetology is not a licensed profession in Israel and has no register to check against. Our approval is not a licence, not an endorsement, and not a credential you may present to patients as one.
If your professional status changes — a licence lapses, a registration is withdrawn — tell us and stop using the service for patients.
6. Confidentiality and security
Patient information you see through SkinJourney is confidential and subject to your own professional duties, which are stricter than anything we could impose.
You must: keep your login to yourself, not share your account, not let anyone else use it, and tell us promptly if you suspect it has been compromised. Do not access records of patients who are not connected to you, and do not attempt to. Do not export or copy patient information except as your professional and legal obligations require.
7. Data protection roles
You determine what clinical use is made of patient information — you are the one making clinical decisions and writing clinical notes. SkinJourney provides the platform.
8. When a connection ends
If a patient disconnects, your forward access to their record ends immediately. If a patient deletes their account, their data is deleted — including the clinical notes attached to them.
This has a consequence you need to plan for: SkinJourney is not your medical record system, and it will not preserve records for you. If you have record-retention obligations as a health professional, keep your own records. Do not rely on us to satisfy them.
9. Acceptable use
Do not use the service unlawfully, do not attempt to access data you are not entitled to, do not probe or attack the platform, and do not use it to provide services you are not qualified to provide.
10. Ending it
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access if this agreement is breached, if your declared credentials prove inaccurate, if the pilot ends, or where required for security or legal reasons.
11. Liability
Provided as is, without warranties. To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
We are not liable for clinical decisions. They are yours.
12. Governing law
Laws of the State of Israel; the competent Israeli courts have jurisdiction.
